Learn Earn and Progress - LEAP Program
The year 2022, remarks SKIP’s 10th year in successfully implementing the LEAP program under the CSR program of Tata Motors known as Kaushalya.
The evolution of this employability program wasinitiated in the year 2013,
The objective of the program was to impart skill training and placement to the school dropoutsin automotive sectors which would make them employable, working with local dealers or garages or starttheir own business.
LEAP curriculum was designed for one year duration. First three months theory is taught in the institute and 9 months practical with access to realtime learning using modern equipment, tools and engines at the dealer’s workshop.
Tata Motors supported this initiative with Aggregates and Machineries, TOT, Management Development Programs-MDP, Annual Tech Fest, In-plant training for trainees, stipend, scholarship etc.

Management Development Program (MDP)
TATA Motors Ltd. Makes significant investments in developing the ITI Management through its MDP. It gives opportunity for LEAP member institute’s Director/Principal to up date to the modern style of working through this program.
It also included a one day industrial exposure visit to TATA Motors Ltd Plant. This training for this year was held at Pune on 10, 11 & 12 of October 2022.
